The Stamps Collection

Stamps were one of my first exposures to page decor & web graphics collections. And I think part of it was back then the site it started on made it easy as an onsite embed link. Even when modern DA added back functionality to profile customization it absolutely pales in comparison to what people were doing in it's hayday (For one, we had HTML).

With DA Eclipse, stamps was one of the main cornerstones of DA culture that died with the old layout. It became clunkier to add them to your profile, and without forking over the money for core you have less spaces to stick them. Never mind the search nightmare that is DA's removal of categories (aka: it's harder to filter & find stamps). And that isn't even getting into the nightmare that is getting into everything the art community hates (notoriously, the AI shit. But also NFTS & repulsive political stances... *vomits*)

In web-revival spaces like Neocities, stamp collecting has sort-of made a comeback alongside buttons, badges, blinkies, and bumper-stickers (that's a lot of b's!). This page has a much larger stamps collection than the ones I had back then.

With that being said...

I fucking hate DeviantArt & what it's become. Honestly it's just a 'get your userbase to hate you speedrun' at this rate >:(

idk i just think they're neat. Or anything that doesn't fit in the above for any reason (ie: not enough to warrent a category, things I like but aren't part of the wider fandom for)
